Zuzimpilo Medical Centre

ZuziMpilo is an initiative of the Perinatal HIV Research Unit PHRU, and was established to bridge a gap between the public sector and the private sector (as it is accessed by those with health insurance or medical aid).
We aim to provide affordable, high quality health care for people living with HIV who cannot afford to pay current costs for private sector HIV and antiretroviral (ARV) care.
Our large well, equipped clinic is located in the Ansteys Building at the corner of Jeppe and Joubert Streets, Johannesburg.
We provide HIV diagnosis, clinical consultations, laboratory monitoring of HIV and antiretroviral therapy. Our team of doctors, nurse and HIV counselors provides all aspect of out-patient HIV care.
Concept
- High quality care
- Tailored to customer desires
- Data driven
- Replicable ie: expanding number of similar clinics throughout the country
- One stop
- Sustainable (break even)
- Reaching a large population base
This project is headed by Dr. Neil Martinson an HIV researcher, with research interest in TB and pregnancy as well as care provision for people living with HIV. He works for the Perinatal HIV Research Unit in Soweto. Please visit the site for more details www.zuzimpilo.co.za.
